Details: KERRY COLE BIO/ARTIST’ STATEMENT Kerry Cole began her professional career with her first drawing while studying Fashion Design. Since, a litany of exhibitions has followed where she has developed her distinctive style, and reputation. As a result, she has seen a variety of commercial success, which includes Corporate Logos, CD Jackets, Screen Savers, Magazine Covers, as well as Public and Private commissioned works. Her active imagination and offbeat perspective are fertile ground for creating the images that emerge into her distinct, Outsider style. By mingling figures from reality with myth, her paintings and drawings each have an allegorical feel. This same mixing effect is apparent in her use of colors and her mixing of pastel and Fauvist color schemes. Over the course of refining the myth and mystic magic out of her consciousness, the French born Cole’s work has found itself incorporated into a long list of private collections. The work continues to evolve, and her goal to connect people and their feelings through her art remains in focus.
